Ballyfermot Festival January 2021 – Film and Poetry Competition
To all BCFE students and graduates: you may be interested in the two competitions being run under the Ballyfermot Festival.
On the film competition:
Three Minute Short Film
Do you have what it takes to be the next Steven Spielberg ? Why not take part in this year’s Festival Short Film Competition
The theme for this year’s competition is
“Enjoy Life – Be Happy “.
Entrants are being invited to think about what makes us happy in life, our Friends , Families , Pets , Sport and our community. Participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from the positive changes they might have witnessed in their own Life , local communities or in wider society.
The Competition is aimed at young people resident in Ballyfermot/CherryOrchard .
Prizes, Rules & Regulations
There are three categories: Junior 12 – 15 – Best Film -Intermediate 15 – 18 – Best Film Senior 18- 23 – Best Film
Each Category -First prize will receive €300 euro ,Second prize will receive €150 euro Third prize will receive €100 euro
Films must be 3 minutes or less, be as creative and resourceful as you possibly can, shoot your movie via phone, camera, DSLR.
All participants in the films must have written consent for broadcast .
How to submit Once you have made your film and are ready to submit and upload your film to youtube Mark the video as unlisted Copy the link and send to:
ballyfermotplusfilmfest@gmail.com
The winning films will be broadcast on our Festival Youtube channel.
Closing date for Entry is Friday 22nd January .
We are pleased to announce that Ballyfermot Inchicore Credit Union , Dublin City Council and Ballyfermot Drugs & Alcohol Task Force are sponsoring this competition. The co ordinator of the competition is James Eastlake .
