BCFE radio graduate Sharon Tobin appears on the cover of RTE Guide
Sharon Tobin, former BCFE radio student and current RTE Journalist (Six One TV News Reader) is featured on the cover of this week’s RTE Guide. Sharon spoke about her education journey from Senior Infants to joining us in Further Education. Sharon did the BCFE Radio and Journalism HND course, and then added another year to achieve her Media Production Management Degree at BCFE. As she is quoted in the piece: “”when I was leaving Ballyfermot College, they asked me what I intended to do and I said ideally MTV or else a radio DJ…my lecturer just said to me that maybe I should put a demo tape together and send it to all the newsrooms”. We are all thrilled with her success at RTE, where a considerable number of BCFE Alumni are working. Sharon has also helped and mentored other BCFE Radio students over the years. Make sure to grab a copy of this week’s RTE Guide and share/like it on all social media.
