BCFE TV students and President Higgins at Phil Lynott commemorative event

BCFE students gained valuable experience in setting up the sound system and filming the launch of the €15 silver commemorative coin by the Central Bank to mark 70 years since the birth of Phil Lynott. The coin was formally launched by President Higgins in Phil’s former secondary school, St Kevin’s College, Crumlin on Tuesday 26th of November 2019. The experience allowed BCFE students to work side by side with the nation’s broadcasters and, as evidenced in the photographs, the students were confident and displayed the professional ability to complete the task.
