Open Evening Tue March 14th 2023 4-7pm
Come along to the Open Evening at Ballyfermot College of Further Education on March 14th from 4-7pm. You will be able to chat to our dedicated team about the many opportunities at the college for school-leavers and mature students alike.
Still not sure what to put on the CAO form? Don’t worry. Only half of Leaving Cert students go straight to college to do a CAO-listed course anyway.
The other half pursue PLC courses or traineeships/apprenticeships.
A PLC course is also a good option if you’re not sure if university is the right choice for you or what career path to take. It allows you to dip your toe in a certain field that you’re interested in, without having to commit to a three or four-year degree.
The Open Evening is a unique opportunity for potential students to talk to course coordinators, tutors, current students and guidance counsellors about what career path best suits them after leaving school or returning to upskill or retrain.
BCFE offers a wide array of courses from social care to business, animation, film and TV production, photography, journalism, podcasting, games design, visual effects, music, art and design. All departments include a range of courses from QQI Level 4, 5 & 6, Higher National Diplomas and full Honours Degree Programmes at Level 8 in Animation, Games Design & Media Production Management.
With years of industry experience the staff at BCFE are only too eager to share their expertise and enable you to use specialist industry-standard software and equipment to give you the best advantage in the workplace. New equipment this year includes: a new purpose built photography studio; a new virtual reality/augmented reality lab; an iWall; yet another new room of Apple Macs, a new state of the art sound desk; and a fully equipped hospital-standard nursing training room.
Come to the Open Evening from 4-7pm on Tue March 14th and we can talk to you about your options.
It’s all about you. A new year, a new you.
