BCFE Student’s Eurovision 2018
We are proud to share that former BCFE Rock School student Mark “Cappy” Caplice (pictured left) is one of the co-writers for Ireland’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The ballad ‘Together’ — penned by Cappy alongside singer Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Laura Elizabeth Hughes –was one of 10 semi-final entries to make it through to Saturday’s final in Lisbon. Another two former Rock School students Claire-Ann Varley (piano, pictured below) and Janet Grogan (vocals, also pictured below) joined Ryan on stage last night. This is Ireland’s first time back in a Eurovision Song Contest final since 2013, so well done to all involved. All of us here at the Rock School wish them well in the final. You can watch the semi-final performance at the link below. If you fancy yourself as a budding songwriter why not think about applying to our HND in Contemporary Music Performance (Rock School) @ BCFE; Ireland’s original and most successful popular music Programme.
